The First Journey ...

The very first trip after the purchase was from Sawley Marina to David Piper's yard at Red Bull Basin, North of Stoke-on-Trent, where Tijan had been built in 1976. David had more or less retired by then but Simon had taken over, and I wanted some sort of ''continuity'' in changing things around...

Added to that of course there was also the fact that I knew almost nothing about boats..! - so if I wanted things done, it really was Pipers... or Sawley Marina... or the Yellow Pages..!

The trip took five magical days...

I will get around to constructing a page (or pages), about Tijan's initial journey to David Piper's yard at Red Bull Basin sometime in the not too distant future... But for the moment I have to concentrate on the work that's happening at Wrenbury Mill... and trying to sort out the building work for the house next door..!
